I love to create things. I love to solve problems. I love to learn new things, and to meet new people. I'm a quick learner and a hard worker.
What I can do:
- Web development and design
I have been making websites for ten years. I'm very comfortable with writing HTML, XHTML, XML, and CSS from scratch, as well as using an IDE, such as Dreamweaver. My code is always valid and clean.
I have been exposed to many of the different CMS programs available out there, like Wordpress, Movabletype, B2, and Express Engine. I'm always up to learn about new content management systems, too!
- Software development
I am a huge fan of PHP, and have been working with it for over five years. I have written a variety of small scripts to improve the user's experience on a website, such as contact forms, members-only areas, theme switchers, and link management scripts.
In school, I have been exposed to many other langauges, such as Java (which I love!) and Erlang (another favourite). I have lots of experience using Eclipse as an IDE, and I'm always up to learn new things, whether it be a brand new programming language, or just a different coding style.
Other interests:
I love to read and write. I have kept a blog on and off for many years, and my interest in writing goes hand-in-hand with my interest in web design. I also love music, going for long runs, and eating icecream.
